Differential lock operating mechanism - Check leaktightness and condition - AP29.00-P-2953G

INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
1 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000G
2 Check both master cylinders (1) for leaks Model 460, 461 with master cylinders
IMPORTANT Visual inspection: The dust boots must be tightly fitted and should not exhibit any damage.
 
3 Remove cover in right front fender Model 463.200/204/207/220/221/224/225/227/304/307/324/325/327/328  
4 Remove shields under pressure transducer unit (5) IMPORTANT If installed.  
5 Check pressure transducer unit (5) for leaks IMPORTANT Visual inspection.  
6 Check slave cylinder (4) on front and rear axle for leaks IMPORTANT Visual inspection.  
7 Check connector hoses IMPORTANT The connector hoses must not be cracked, spongy, swollen or chafed. They must be free of paint, grease and oil.  
8 Check lines and connections for leaks IMPORTANT The lines must not be pinched or chafed, or show signs of rust.  
9 Install shields under pressure transducer unit (5) IMPORTANT If installed.  
10 Install cover in right front fender Model 463.200/204/207/220/221/224/225/227/304/307/324/325/327/328  
11 Lower vehicle
