	Remove/Install
	Removing left-side storage compartment
1	Remove anchoring lug (A).
2	Carefully pull away the floor mat (B).	Installation: Use adhesive to rebond floor mat.
2	Carefully pull away the floor mat (B).	MB Universal adhesive.	*BR00.45-Z-1003-02A
3	Remove maintenance hatch (1).	Unscrew bolts (2).
4	Remove bracket for hazard warning triangle (3).	Unscrew bolts (4)
5	Remove left-side storage compartment (5) from sidewall.	Remove screws (6).
6	Open cover on left-side storage compartment (5).
7	Remove left-side storage compartment links (5) from rear pillar.	Remove screws (7, 7a). Installation: Apply thread lock to screws (7a). Tighten screw (7a) to specified torque.

		Loctite 243.	*BR00.45-Z-1033-02B
8	Undo floor mat (8) at front beneath left-side storage compartment (5).	Installation: Use adhesive to rebond floor mat.
8		MB Universal adhesive.	*BR00.45-Z-1003-02A
9	Unscrew screws (9)
10	Remove left-side storage compartment (5).
	Remove right-side storage compartment
11	Remove socket (X58/1).		AR54.10-P-0010PV
12	Remove maintenance hatch (10).	Remove bolts (11).
13	Remove right-side storage compartment (18) from rear pillar.	Remove screw (12, 12a). Installation: Apply thread locking fluid to screws (12). Tighten screw (12) to specified torque.

		Loctite 243.	*BR00.45-Z-1033-02B
14	Undo floor mat (13) at front beneath right-side storage compartment (18).	Installation: Use adhesive to rebond floor mat.
14		MB Universal adhesive.	*BR00.45-Z-1003-02A
15	Remove right-side storage compartment (18) lengthwise.	Unscrew bolts (14). Installation: Ensure that both shims are installed correctly between the storage compartment and the battery bracket.
16	Remove screws (15)
17	Undo floor mat (16) at front beneath right-side storage compartment (18).	Installation: Use adhesive to rebond floor mat.
17		MB Universal adhesive.	*BR00.45-Z-1003-02A
18	Remove screw (17).
19	Remove right-side storage compartment (18).
20	Install in the reverse order
