Garage door opener, function
The garage door opener is composed of a programmable radio remote control with three transmit buttons which is integrated in the inside rearview mirror. With these three buttons, various receivers for door opening and closing system can be activated.
Programming
Function requirements
- Circuit 15R ON
- or circuit 15 ON
Function sequence
- For the desired channel (buttons 1, 2, 3) the corresponding transmit button on the inside rearview mirror must be pressed for longer than 20 seconds.
The LEDs on the inside rearview mirror start to flash on and off.
- With the transmit button pressed, press and hold down the hand transmitter for the garage door drive, whose signal is to be programmed, close to the inside rearview mirror. Hold both buttons suppressed until successful programming is indicated by the LED flashing rapidly.
- Release the two transmit buttons and program additional transmitters as required.
Time switch-off
In order to save the vehicle battery the garage door opener switches automatically off in the learn mode, if programming is not accomplished after approx. 100 seconds.
Application
If one of the 3 transmitter buttons is pressed, the signal learned for this memory location is transmitted activating the associated garage door drive.
The garage door opener signal has a range of at least 15 m.
Erasing
The memory can be erased by holding down the two outer transmitter keys for longer than 20 seconds. Successful erasure of all memory locations is indicated for approx. 10 s by the LED flashing rapidly.
