Settings on workshop level, function - GF54.30-P-2020FL

MODEL 212

Function requirements, general

IMPORTANT The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) transmits the circuit status of circuit 15 via interior CAN (CAN B) to the instrument cluster (A1).

Workshop level adjustments, general

The workshop level is used by technicians in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.

The "Workshop level" menu is activated as follows:

The display in the multifunction display (A1p13) changes to the workshop level. By pressing the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) in the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110), it is possible to change between the respective menus and submenus or to scroll through various lists. Selection is then made by pressing the OK button.

The steering wheel electronics (N135) read in the control interventions at the multifunction steering wheel button groups directly and send them via the steering LIN (LIN E1) to the steering column tube module control unit (N80). The steering column tube module control unit sends them to the instrument cluster via the chassis CAN (CAN E) (up to 28.2.13) or via chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1), the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) (as of 1.3.13).
