Component description for transmission mode control unit - GF27.19-P-1350AHR
TRANSMISSION 722.931 in MODEL 218
Top view of front passenger footwell, model 218.3
Location
The transmission mode control unit is on the right under the step plate in the front passenger footwell.
Task
General
On the transmission mode control unit, up to 5 modular buttons or sensors can be directly connected. They are read in by the transmission mode control unit directly or via the AMG DRIVE UNIT LIN (LIN B11), processed digitally and placed on the chassis CAN (CAN E) and on the drive train CAN (CAN C).
The transmission mode control unit contains memory functions for storing states (e.g. settings). Apart from this, the transmission mode control unit is also equipped with an internal fault memory.
Input and output signals
The transmission mode control unit evaluates the following input signals and issues the corresponding output signals:
- Direct input signals
- Direct output signals
- CAN input signals
- CAN output signals
