Component description for reversing camera control unit - GF54.65-P-5030FQJ
MODEL 218.3 up to model year 2015 with CODE 218 (Reversing camera) with CODE 498 (Japanese version)
Location
The reversing camera control unit is behind the trim inside the luggage compartment on the left relative to the direction of travel.
Task
The reversing camera control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The reversing camera control unit reads in the composite video, blanking and sync (CVBS) signal from the reversing camera (B84/3) via a direct line.
Interior CAN
The reversing camera control unit reads in the following signals via the interior CAN:
- Circuit 15 status as sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)
- Engaged gear range, sent by fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4)
- Data from steering angle sensor (N49), sent by steering column tube module control unit (N80)
- Status of trunk lid/liftgate rotary tumbler switch (M14/7s1), from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
Further information about the respective signal paths to the reversing camera control unit is given under the corresponding functions and in the block diagrams and function schematics.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following connection:
- Direct line
Direct line
The reversing camera control unit actuates the following components via direct lines:
- Backup camera
- COMAND controller unit (A40/3) (CVBS signal)
