	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove/install
1.1	Remove paneling from trunk lid (2)	MODEL 218.3
1.2	Remove rear-end door wiper motor	MODEL 218.9	AR82.30-P-6900CX
2	Pull bracket (5) toward rear (arrow) and remove
3	Disconnect electrical connector (6)
4	Remove license plate or license plate with license plate bracket
5	Mask crosshatched area (C) on trunk lid (2) or rear door as shown
6	Pull out handle strip (1) with extraction hook (arrow A)	Extraction hook	Fig 4
7	Unclip handle strip (1) from trim piece with assembly wedge (arrows B)	Mounting wedge	Figure
8	Unclip retaining clips (3) and remove handle strip (1)	Check retaining clips (3) for damage, replace if necessary.

9	Remove adhesive residues from trunk lid (2) or rear door and clean bonding surface	Bonding surface must be free of grease and dust.
		Observe flash-off time for cleaning agent. Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
10	Remove adhesive residues from handle strip (1) and install new adhesive pad (4) on handle strip (1)	When reusing handle strip (1). Bonding surface must be free of grease and dust. Observe flash-off time for cleaning agent.

11	Install in the reverse order
