Remove/install bulbs of headlamp unit - AR82.10-P-1201NKB

MODEL 117, 176, 242, 246 without CODE 614 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) without CODE 615 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) without CODE 618 (Bi-xenon headlamps) without CODE 621 (Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic)) without CODE 622 (Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic))

DANGER Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off exterior lights    
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit    
3 Open service flap in front axle fender liner, left and/or right When removing left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) or left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5).  
4 Detach housing cover (1) When removing left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) or left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3).  
5 Detach housing cover (2) When removing left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2).  
6 Remove left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) When removing left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1).
NOTES
Do not touch the bulb of the left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) with your bare fingers; use a soft oil-free and grease-free cloth.
Otherwise the bulb will be damaged by overheating when in operation.
IMPORTANT Turn high beam socket (4) approx. 30° counterclockwise and remove.
Pull left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) out of the high beam socket (4).
 
7 Remove left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) When removing left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2).
NOTES
Do not touch the bulb of the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) with your bare fingers; use a soft oil-free and grease-free cloth.
Otherwise the bulb will be damaged by overheating when in operation.
IMPORTANT Turn low beam socket (6) approx. 30° counterclockwise and remove.
Pull left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) out of low beam socket (6)
 
8 Remove left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3) When removing left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3).
NOTES
Do not touch the bulb of the left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3) with your bare fingers; use a soft oil-free and grease-free cloth.
Otherwise the bulb will be damaged by overheating when in operation.
IMPORTANT Remove standing lights and parking lights socket (5) from the reflector.
Pull left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3) out of standing light and parking light socket (5).
 
9 Remove left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5) When removing left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5).
NOTES
Do not touch the bulb of the left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5) with your bare fingers; use a soft oil-free and grease-free cloth.
Otherwise the bulb will be damaged by overheating when in operation.
IMPORTANT Turn, turn signal light socket (3) approx. 30° counterclockwise and remove.
Remove left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5) from turn signal light socket (3).
 
10 Install in the reverse order
