Read out maintenance data from instrument cluster and reset service indicator - AP00.20-P-0043HA

  Dialing     
1 Close engine hood    
2 Close doors and trunk lid or liftgate    
3 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "1" (circuit 15R) IMPORTANT There must be no fault messages in the multifunction display (6).  
4 Press system selection button (1) repeatedly until menu item "Trip" is highlighted in multifunction display (6), and then confirm with OK button (3) IMPORTANT "Trip" remains selected for approx. 5 s. Operation step 5 must be carried out within this time.  
5 First press and hold down Accept phone call button (2) and then, within 1 s, also press and hold down OK button (3) for approx. 5 s IMPORTANT The workshop menu with the following tabs appears in the multifunction display (6): "Vehicle data",
"Dynamometer test",
"Change brake pad",
"ASSYSTPLUS",
"Head-up display" (depending on the version).
 
6 Press scroll back button (4) repeatedly until "ASSYST PLUS" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (3) IMPORTANT The tabs "Service data" and "Full service" appear on the multifunction display (6).  
  Read out maintenance data     
7 Select "Service data" tab and confirm with OK button (3) IMPORTANT In the reception report, note down the workshop code (e.g. 505) and the service code (e.g. A) that appear on the multifunction display (6). The codes are required for generating the vehicle-specific service sheet.  
8 Press scroll forward button (7) repeatedly and read out remaining time, remaining distance and oil data record (e.g. 01 1F 00) IMPORTANT Note down read out data in reception protocol.  
  Reset service data     
9 Press scroll back button (4) to highlight "Full Service" and confirm selection with OK button (3) IMPORTANT The current service items appear on the multifunction display (6).  
10 Press scroll back button (4) repeatedly until "Confirm Serv." is highlighted in multifunction display (6) and confirm selection with OK button (3) IMPORTANT The oil selection or "Service carried out?" appears on the multifunction display (6).  
11 Select specification of used engine oil using scroll forward button (7) and confirm selection with OK button (3) On vehicles with oil selection
IMPORTANT In order to achieve the maximum kilometer interval, engine oil for gasoline engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids Specification 229.5 and engine oil for diesel engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids Specification 229.51.
 
12 Press scroll back button (4) until "Yes" is highlighted and confirm selection with OK button (3) IMPORTANT "Reversal not possible" appears on the multifunction display (6).  
13 Press scroll back button (4) until "Confirm" is highlighted and confirm selection with OK button (3) IMPORTANT "Full service completed" appears on the multifunction display (6).
If the service is not performed or only partly performed after resetting the maintenance computer:

The maintenance computer has to be reset to the default value again and the service indicator must be reset to the previous service.

14 Press "Back" button (5) repeatedly until standard display (total distance) appears in multifunction display (6)    
15 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
