Read out maintenance data from instrument cluster and reset service indicator - AP00.20-P-0043B

MODEL 204 without CODE 442 (Luxury multifunction steering wheel)

  Dialing     
1 Close trunk lid or liftgate as well as engine hood and doors    
2 Turn key in ignition switch to position "1" IMPORTANT The standard display (kilometer counter) must appear in the multifunction display (4), if necessary press the system selection button (1) repeatedly.  
3 First press button R (2) and keep pressed, then within a second, also press button + (3) and keep pressed IMPORTANT Keep both buttons pressed for approx. 5 seconds:
The multifunction display (4) shows the voltage indicator.
 
  Read out maintenance data     
4 Press system selection button (1) IMPORTANT The following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"ASSYST PLUS".
 
5 Press button R (2) IMPORTANT The following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"Service data".
 
6 Press button R (2) IMPORTANT For example, the following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"Workshop code 3DOC"
Note down the displayed workshop code in the reception protocol. The code is required for generation of the vehicle-specific service sheet.
 
7 Press system selection button (1) IMPORTANT For example, the following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"Service code A5"
Note down the displayed service code in the reception protocol.
 
8 Press system selection button (1) IMPORTANT The following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"RLZ (remaining time) and RLS (remaining distance)"
Note down displayed values in the reception protocol.
 
  Reset service data     
9 Press the system selection button (1) repeatedly until "Full Service" appears in the multifunction display (4) again    
10 Press button R (2) IMPORTANT The current services appear in the multifunction display (4).  
11 Press the system selection button (1) repeatedly until "Confirm service" appears in the multifunction display (4)    
12 Press button R (2) IMPORTANT The following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"Oil selection" or "Service complete? yes/no".
 
13 Select the specification of the engine oil used and confirm Vehicles with oil selection

IMPORTANT In order to achieve the maximum kilometer interval, engine oil for gasoline engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids specification 229.5 and engine oil for diesel engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids specification 229.51.

14 Press button + (3) IMPORTANT Completion of Full Service was confirmed. The following appears in multifunction display (4):
"No take-back!".
 
15 Press button + (3) again IMPORTANT The following appears in the multifunction display (4):
"Full Service completed".
 
  Deactivation     
16 Press the system selection button (1) repeatedly until the standard display (kilometer counter) appears in the multifunction display (4)    
17 Turn key in ignition lock to position "0"
