If complaints concerning drivetrain vibrations or unsmooth acceleration are submitted, the cause can be a deviation of the inclination angle from the specified value.

The engine mount and the bearing of the transmission mounting should not be in a damaged or worn state or under stress when the inclination angle is measured. Replace if necessary.

The inclination angle measurement can be carried out with two different measuring instruments. The measuring instrument must have a graphic black-white display, the most recent software release and a memory to store at least four inclination angles.

• Measuring instruments with graphic black-white display have been supplied since the end of 2003. When these instruments are switched on, a Romess logo appears on the display. The black and white display is larger that the old 4-line green display.
• If an older measuring instrument (with 4-line green display) or an instrument (with graphic black-white display) with a memory for only four inclination angles is used, the inclination angle measurement must be performed using the inclination measurement function.
