Remove/install trunk lid - AR88.50-P-5000LW

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

IMPORTANT Notes on sensor system for trunk lid opening/closing   AH80.61-P-0001-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Open trunk lid (16)    
2 Remove warning triangle (5) from warning triangle bracket    
3 Remove hazard warning triangle bracket (5)    
4 Remove hinge covers (2)    
5 Unclip both retaining clips (3) on handle recess (4) and remove handle recess (4) SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Figure
6 Unclip remaining retaining clips (3) and detach trunk lid paneling (1) until electrical connector (7) is accessible SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Figure
7 Disconnect electrical connector (7) from ambient lamp and trunk lid warning lamp (6)    
8 Remove trunk lid paneling (1)    
9 Push back jacketing (9), disconnect electrical connector (10) an unclip left electrical wiring harness (8) MODEL 205.0/1
with CODE 218 (Rear view camera)

with CODE 501 (360° camera)
 
10 Disconnect electrical connectors (12, 13, 14 and 15) and unclip right electrical wiring harness (11) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (12, 13, 14 and 15) can vary depending on the equipment.  
11 Remove screw/bolts (18)    
12 Loosen screws/bolts (17) IMPORTANT Helper required to remove trunk lid (16).  
13 Remove trunk lid (16) upward IMPORTANT Helper required to remove trunk lid (16).  
INSTALLING Install     
14 Hook trunk lid (16) into hinges with bolts (17) IMPORTANT Screw in bolts (17) so that trunk lid (16) can still be moved. Tighten bolts (17) after adjusting trunk lid (16).
Helper required to install trunk lid (16).
 
15 Screw in screws (18) IMPORTANT Screw in bolts (18) so that trunk lid (16) can still be moved. Tighten bolts (18) after adjusting trunk lid (16).  
16 Clip in right electrical wiring harness (11) and connect electrical connectors (12, 13, 14 and 15) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (12, 13, 14 and 15) can vary depending on the equipment.  
17 Clip in left electrical wiring harness (8), connect electrical connector (10) and push jacketing (9) over electrical connector (10) MODEL 205.0/1
with CODE 218 (Rear view camera)
MODEL 205.0/1
with CODE 501 (360° camera)
 
18 Adjust trunk lid (16)   AR88.50-P-5200LW 
19 Position trunk lid paneling (1) on trunk lid (16) and connect electrical connector (7) of ambient lamp and trunk lid warning lamp (6)    
20 Fasten trunk lid paneling (1) with retaining clips (3)    
21 Fasten handle recess (4) with both retaining clips (3)    
22 Install hinge covers (2)    
23 Install warning triangle bracket (5)    
24 Insert warning triangle into warning triangle bracket (5)    
25 Calibrate 360° camera with diagnostic system MODEL 205.0/1
with CODE 501 (360° camera)
