REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Secure vehicle on vehicle lift   AR00.60-P-0100CW
2 Drain oil from rear axle differential (50)   AR35.31-P-0520-06LW
Sealant, Omni fit 100H (50 g) *BR00.45-Z-1061-01A 
Loctite 7063 cleaning spray (150 ml) *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Drain screw to rear axle differential *BA35.31-P-1003-02H 
3 Remove exhaust system from rear flange connection onwards Model 205 with engine 274, 276 AR49.10-P-4952LW
Model 205 with engine 177 AR49.10-P-4952MNA
Model 205 with engine 651 AR49.10-P-7100LWB
4 Unscrew bolts from heat sink and remove heat sink Model 205 with engine 177  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, heat sink to end cover *BA35.31-P-1004-02H 
5 Detach electrical connection from lock Model 205 with engine 177  
6 Lash down rear axle differential (50) using tensioning strap on rear axle carrier (1) NOTES
Lash down rear differential mount.
Otherwise, the front differential mount (8) may be damaged when removing the bolts (3).		  
7 Remove bolts (3) of rear differential mount TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, rear axle differential to rear transverse bridge *BA35.10-P-1006-01H 
8 Support rear axle differential (50)    
9 Remove bolt (5) of front differential mount (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Rear axle differential to front adapter *BA35.10-P-1005-01H 
10 Unfasten tensioning strap and lower rear axle differential (50)    
11 Remove bolts (52s) and remove end cover (52). IMPORTANT Loosen end cover (52) e.g. loosen with screwdriver or assembly lever. Do not damage sealing surfaces.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, end cover to rear axle differential *BA35.31-P-1001-02H 
12 Clean sealing surfaces on rear axle differential (50) and end cover (52) Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
13 Coat sealing compound on the sealing surface on the end cover (52) Loctite 5970 sealant *BR00.45-Z-1013-01A 
SPECIAL TOOL Application gun Fig 3
14 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
15 Check oil level in rear axle differential (50) and correct if necessary   AR35.31-P-0520-03LW
FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 205.086/087 Filling capacity for rear axle differential with differential lock *BF35.31-P-1003-01U 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 205.0 (except 205.086/087), 205.1, 205.2 (except 205.286/287) ALU rear axle differential filling capacity *BF35.31-P-1002-01U 
Loctite 7063 cleaning spray (150 ml) *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
Sealant, Omni fit 100H (50 g) *BR00.45-Z-1061-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oil filler screw of rear axle differential *BA35.31-P-1002-02H 
16 Check rear axle differential (50) for leak tightness
