The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) sends the status of circuit 15 to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) over the interior CAN (CAN B).
The rear SAM control unit uses the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) to switch on the power supply for the DC/AC converter control unit (N24/3).
DC/AC converter, general
A 230-V AC voltage will be made available via the 230V (X58/44) socket.
Only small electrical devices may be connected. The maximum available electrical continuous load is P = 150 W, for a short-term up to P = 300 W is permissible for t = 2 s.
Function sequence for DC/AC converter
Plugging a consumer into the 230V socket is detected by a microswitch. The DC/AC converter control unit supplies the microswitch with voltage.
If a consumer is connected to the 230V socket, this voltage is switched through to the control input of the DC/AC converter control unit. The DC/AC converter control unit then converts the on-board electrical system direct voltage into a 230 V AC voltage and supplies the 230V socket. An LED integrated into the 230V socket indicates the availability of AC voltage.
If the interior temperature of the DC/AC converter control unit rises above a defined limit value or if the output load exceeds the overload threshold of P = 300 W for t = 2 s, the DC/AC converter control unit switches off. A calculation method stored in the DC/AC converter control unit prevents the converter from constantly switching between on and off when it gets close to either limit value. If undervoltage is detected by the energy management system, the DC/AC converter control unit is switched off, thereby interrupting the power supply to the socket.
