Remove/install rear SAM control unit - AR54.21-P-1269LW

Model 205 except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin))

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform initial startup of rear SAM control unit (N10/8) When replacing the rear SAM control unit (N10/8).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key    
3.1 Fold up and secure load compartment floor (1) Model 205.0/1
except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin))
 
3.2 Remove load compartment floor rear section Model 205.2
except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin))
 
4 Open service flap (2) Model 205
except code 536 (SIRIUS satellite radio)
except code 537 (Digital radio (DAB))
except code 550 (Trailer coupling)
except code 865 (TV tuner)
except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin))
 
5.1 Push panel (3) to one side until the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) is accessible Model 205
except code 536 (SIRIUS satellite radio)
except code 537 (Digital radio (DAB))
except code 550 (Trailer coupling)
except code 865 (TV tuner)
except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin))
 
5.2 Remove paneling (3) Model 205

6 Remove bolts (7) and nut (8) and place bracket (9) with lines connected to one side Model 205

7 Release catches (5) in direction of arrow SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge Figure
8 Remove rear SAM control unit (N10/8) from control unit bracket (4)    
9 Separate electrical connectors (6) IMPORTANT The electrical connections (6) are coded and cannot be swapped.
The number of electrical connectors (6) can vary depending on the equipment installed.
 
10 Remove rear SAM control unit (N10/8)    
11 Install in the reverse order
