Model 205 except code ME04 (Mild hybrid drive) except code ME06 (Hybrid drive 50-KW variant (incl. plugin)) 

Model 253 except code ME05 (HYBRID DRIVE 80KW VARIANT (INCLUDING PLUGIN))

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte or due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries  due to thermal changes. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. In the event of escaping battery electrolyte, battery vapors, battery mist, smoke or heat development, secure the area, leave it and alert the fire department. AS54.10-Z-0001-04A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by contact with battery gel when handling damaged lead-gelbatteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. AS54.10-Z-0001-02A
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Detach ground line (1) from on-board electrical system battery (G1)   AR54.10-P-0003LW 
2 Release and disconnect electrical connection (2)    
3 Unscrew nut (3) and remove ground line (1) with battery sensor (B95) IMPORTANT The ground line (1) and the battery sensor (B95) are one component and cannot be replaced individually.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Battery ground point *BA00.19-P-1010-01E 
4 Install in the reverse order
