Location
The Audio/COMAND display is installed at the top center of the instrument panel.
Tasks
The Audio/COMAND display serves the uniform presentation of user-relevant operating and information windows as well as the presentation of video picture information.
The Audio/COMAND display receives the following signals:
- Circuit 30g and circuit 31
- Control signals (e.g. switch on) via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the head unit
- - Picture signals via the low voltage differential signal (LVDS) interface from the head unit
The Audio/COMAND display evaluates the input factors in the integrated microprocessor, and actuates the color screen.

The Audio/COMAND display is available in the following variants:
- 7" display (free standing) (with code 520 (Audio 20 USB), with code 522 (Audio 20 radio))
- 8.4" HD display (free standing) (with CODE 531 (COMAND APS))
