Special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCU (MSS)), component description - GF54.21-P-4010RF
MODEL 205 with CODE 965 (Electrical preinstallation for taxi and rental car)
Shown on model 205.0
Location
The multifunction control unit is located under the left cover in the trunk.
Task
The multifunction control unit is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensor signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Multifunction CAN (CAN K)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Taximeter (A50) (with CODE 336 (Taximeter console in OCP [DBE]))
- Emergency alarm system "Delete" button (S62/5) (with CODE 934 (Taxi/rental car emergency alarm system))
- Emergency alarm system "Trigger" button (S62/6) (with CODE 934 (Taxi/rental car emergency alarm system))
- Two-way radio cut-in switch (S93/2) (with CODE 938 (Hands-free two-way radio))
Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the multifunction control unit over the interior CAN.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Multifunction CAN
The signals are read in by the multifunction control unit over the multifunction CAN.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
- Multifunction CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Taximeter (with CODE 336 (Taximeter console in OCP [DBE]))
- Two-way radio (A49) (accessories) or radio data transceiver (A49/5) (accessories)
- Roof sign lamp (E14/4) (with CODE 342 (CONNECTION FOR TAXI ROOF SIGN))
Interior CAN
The signals are sent by the multifunction control unit over the interior CAN.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Multifunction CAN
The signals are sent by the multifunction control unit over the multifunction CAN.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
