| 1 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key | ||
| 2 | Unclip speaker cover (1) at instrument panel (2) (arrows) | Fig 2 | |
| 3 | Remove screws/bolts (3) from Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) | ||
| 4 | Pull out Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) until electrical connectors (4 and 5) are accessible | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connectors (4 and 5) from Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) | ||
| 6 | Remove Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) from vehicle | The screws/bolts (3) must be moved to the upper assembly position on the Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) for installation. Otherwise the interior equipment may be damaged. |

| 7 | Install in the reverse order |
