Remove/install airbag unit on steering wheel - AR91.60-P-0660LW

DANGER Risk of injury  during testing and repair operations related to pyrotechnical components Do not expose pyrotechnical components to temperatures above 100°C or 212°C.
Disconnect current supply when working on such components.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Adjust steering wheel (6) all the way upward    
2 Disconnect ground line to battery   AR54.10-P-0003LW
3 Insert Torx screwdriver (1) into openings (arrow) at right and left on the steering wheel (6) and push springs (2) towards the inside IMPORTANT Use Torx screwdriver (1) with size T20.
IMPORTANT If the driver airbag (4) is removed for the first time, the openings (arrow) at right and left on the steering wheel (6) must be pierced.
 
4 Remove driver airbag (4) far enough from steering wheel (6) until electrical connector (3) is accessible INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Springs (2) must audibly engage in mounts (5) of driver airbag (4).  
5 Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove driver airbag (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that electrical connector (3) engages properly.  
6 Dispose of removed driver airbag (4) properly When replacing the driver airbag (4).  
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Connect diagnostic system and check supplemental restraint system (SRS) Model 205

When replacing the driver airbag (4).
