Component description for tire pressure monitor control unit - GF40.15-P-5124CEA
MODEL 204.0/9 with CODE 475 (Tire pressure monitor (premium)) Schrader
MODEL 204.3 with CODE 475 (Tire pressure monitor (premium)) Schrader
Shown on model 204.0 up to 28.2.2011
Location
The tire pressure monitor control unit is located on the underfloor above the rear axle.
Task
The tire pressure monitoring system control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensors and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Transfer of information
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Two-way radio
- Chassis CAN (CAN E)
Two-way radio
The following sensors are read in via radio:
- Left front tire pressure sensor (A69/1)
- Right front tire pressure sensor (A69/2)
- Left rear tire pressure sensor (A69/3)
- Right rear tire pressure sensor (A69/4)
Chassis CAN
The following signals (from the instrument cluster (A1)) are read in over the chassis CAN:
- Vehicle speed signal
- Outside temperature
- Mileage
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the information is then sent.
Transfer of information
The tire pressure monitor control unit sends information over the chassis CAN to the instrument cluster, this information is then shown as menu displays and as warning messages.
Body
The central antenna is integrated in the tire pressure monitor control unit.
