Tasks
- Receive, evaluate and transmit signals via chassis CAN and interior CAN for various operating requests, displays and warning messages
- Actuate instrument illumination (A1e8) depending on:
- light sensor (B38/1) (without code (345) Rain sensor) or rain/light sensor (B38/2) (with code (345) Rain sensor)
- brightness sensor
- instrument illumination brightness control
- Output of status indications and fault messages via multifunction display
- Output acoustic warnings
The acoustic signals are generated as follows:
- Actuation of internal speaker: "Gong" at a frequency of f = 1 Hz
- Actuation of internal warning buzzer (A1h1): warning tone at a frequency of f = 2.5 Hz
- Actuation of turn signal lights function check, acoustic (A1h2): clicking sound
- Actuation of following stepper motors:
- coolant temperature gauge
- fuel level indicator
- tachometer
- speedometer
