	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel.	No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of death  caused by contact with parts conducting high voltages.	Do not touch parts which conduct high voltages. Persons who have electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers) may not perform any work on the ignition system.	AS15.10-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. 2	Remove charge air cooler (1)		AR09.41-P-6817RKC
3	Remove the throttle valve actuator (M16/6)		AR07.51-P-1401RKC
4	Remove low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (2)	To do this remove screw/bolts (3) and unlock low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (2) (arrow) Screw/bolt, low pressure expansion reservoir to carrier plate/engine suspension lug	*BA09.41-P-1010-01Q
5	Relieve fuel pressure through service valve		AR07.03-P-1460-01RKC
6	Disconnect electrical connections (4)
7	Detach air pump 1 switchover valve (Y32/1) from bracket (5) and place to one side
8	Detach air pump switchover valve (Y101) from bracket (5) and place to one side
9	Detach boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y77/1) from bracket (5) and place to one side
10	Detach air pump 2 switchover valve (Y32/2) from bracket (5) and place to one side
11	Remove cable ties (6)
12	Pull vacuum line (7) off check valve (8)
13	Remove screw/bolt (9)	Screw/bolt, purge line clamp to carrier	*BA09.41-P-1009-01Q
14	Detach clips (11, 12)
15	Remove screw/bolts (10) and fold down bracket (5) with attached lines to the front	Screw/bolt, carrier to charge air distributor	*BA09.41-P-1007-01Q
16	Disconnect electrical connections at fuel injection valves (Y62)
17	Disconnect electrical connections at ignition coils (T1)
18	Disconnect electrical connection on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8)
19	Disconnect electrical connection at pressure sensor downstream of throttle valve (B28/7)
20	Disconnect electrical connection at coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)
21	Detach ground lines (14)	To do this, remove screw/bolt (13). Engine ground point	*BA00.19-P-1030-01A
22	Disconnect electrical connection at camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1)
23	Expose electrical wiring harness (15)
24	Expose vacuum lines (16)
25	Disconnect electrical connection for electrical line (17) from A/C compressor (A9)
26	Remove screw/bolts (18) and place cable duct (19) with engine wiring harness to one side	Screw/bolt, cable duct to charge air distributor	*BA15.18-P-1001-01D
27	Take out bracket (20)
28	Detach coolant pipe (21)
29	Remove bracket (22)	To do this, remove screw/bolts (30).

30	Remove screw/bolts (23, 24)	Screw/bolt, clamp for fuel line to charge air distributor	*BA07.03-P-1002-01G

31	Loosen union nuts (25, 32) and remove fuel feed line (26)	Union nut, fuel line to fuel distributor	*BA07.03-P-1001-01G

32	Remove bracket (27)	Start by removing screw/bolts (31). Screw/bolt, engine suspension lug to cylinder head	*BA01.30-P-1006-01Z

34	Remove fuel distributor rail (29) together with fuel injection valves (Y62)	Installation:  Replace O-rings of the fuel injection valves (Y62). Apply lubricant paste O-rings. Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DBL 6867.00	*BR00.45-Z-1002-06A
35	Install in the reverse order
36	Connect diagnostic system and read out fault memory

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 37	Carry out an engine test run and check fuel system for leaktightness
