Adjust camber and caster at the front axle - AR40.20-P-0263RK

  Adjust     
1 For caster correction, install repair bolt (19c)   AR40.20-P-0322-01RK
    IMPORTANT Screw on the repair kit nut (19b) until it abuts, but do not tighten yet so that the elastomer bearing of the strut rod (18) can twist when the vehicle is rocked to settle the suspension.
Caster alteration at strut rod + 4 mm		 *BE40.20-P-1001-22A 
    Camber alteration at strut rod + 4 mm *BE40.20-P-1002-22A 
    Caster alteration at strut rod - 4 mm *BE40.20-P-1003-22A 
    Camber alteration at strut rod - 4 mm *BE40.20-P-1004-22A 
2 Remove/install spring control arm (17) at front axle Only required in the case of camber correction.
Remove/install spring control arm on front axle		 AR33.15-P-0170RK
3 Install repair bearing (16) for camber correction Only required in the case of camber correction.
Insertion/extraction of the rubber bushing on the track control arm		 AR33.15-P-0170-02RK
    SPECIAL TOOL Press-in tool Fig 4

4 Adjust camber Only required in the case of camber correction.
IMPORTANT Only three specified levels of the vehicle incl. tolerances are shown in the displayed basic data. Dependent on the measured level, if the vehicle is in the tolerance range, this measurement is OK.
Camber at vehicle level		 *BE40.20-P-1001-13V 
    Permissible difference in front axle camber between right and left sides of the vehicle *BE40.20-P-1004-13V 
5 Adjusting caster Only required in the case of caster correction. AR40.20-P-0322-03RK
    Caster values, form *BE40.20-P-1001-20E 
    Permissible difference in caster between right and left side of vehicle *BE40.20-P-1002-20E 
    Absolute caster tolerance *BE40.20-P-1003-20E 
6 Check vehicle level again at the front axle after the camber adjustment and caster adjustment Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclinometer, adjust if necessary
IMPORTANT The vehicle level must match the values determined during the initial measurement.		 AR40.20-P-0301RK 
7 Tighten repair kit nut (19b) securely. NOTES
Do not turn the repair bolt (19c) any more after it has been fixed in place.
The lock tabs in the elastomer bearing of the strut rod (18) will otherwise be sheared off.
IMPORTANT When tightening the repair kit nut (19b), counterhold the repair bolt (19c).
