DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A

  Filling
1 Insert dipstick (2a) all the way into ABC expansion reservoir (2), pull out again, read off hydraulic fluid level and correct if necessary NOTES The funnel with filter must not be used for pouring in other operating fluids.
Contamination can otherwise damage the ABC system.
IMPORTANT The funnel must be stored in a closed cabinet.
IMPORTANT Read off the hydraulic fluid level on the dipstick (2a) on the side with the inscription "ENGINE OFF UNLADEN". The fluid level must be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. The vehicle must be ready to drive and standing horizontally on its complete wheels.

3 Start engine NOTES The hydraulic fluid level in the ABC expansion reservoir (2) must be observed throughout the entire process (2nd person required). It must not drop below the "MIN" mark.
The tandem pump/hydraulic pump (1) will otherwise be damaged as a result of air being drawn in.
IMPORTANT When replacing the tandem pump/hydraulic pump (1), the engine must run for at least 2 min before the level adjustment push button switch is pressed.

4 Press level adjustment push button switch until indicator lamp in push button switch goes out Vehicle level "Normal level (NN)".
5 Insert dipstick (2a) all the way into ABC expansion reservoir (2), pull out again, read off hydraulic fluid level and correct if necessary IMPORTANT Read off the hydraulic fluid level on the dipstick (2a) on the side with the inscription "ENGINE ON UNLADEN". The fluid level must be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
  Bleeding
6 Press level adjustment push button switch again until indicator lamp in push button switch lights up IMPORTANT Vehicle level "Raised level (EN)".
7 Press level adjustment push button switch again until indicator lamp in push button switch goes out IMPORTANT Vehicle level "Normal level (NN)".
IMPORTANT Steps 6 and 7 must be repeated 3 times.
IMPORTANT Following removal, installation or replacement of suspension struts or valve units, steps 6 and 7 should be repeated approx. 15 times.

8 Turn off engine
9 After approx. 10 min, pull dipstick (2a) out of ABC expansion reservoir (2) and wipe clean using a lint-free cloth IMPORTANT Always wait 10 min because the hydraulic fluid only flows back into the ABC expansion reservoir (2) slowly and otherwise the measurement value will be distorted.
10 Insert dipstick (2a) all the way into ABC expansion reservoir (2), pull out again, read off hydraulic fluid level and correct if necessary IMPORTANT Read off the hydraulic fluid level on the dipstick (2a) on the side with the inscription "ENGINE OFF UNLADEN". The fluid level must be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
