	Preparatory activity
1	Open engine hood and trunk lid
2	Open trunk floor (2)
	Check
3	Check irritant gas sensor (1) for correct seating, cracks, deformation and soiling	If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
4	Check manufacture date of emergency fresh air system gas bottle (3)	If the emergency fresh air system gas bottle (3) is older than 10 years. ↓ Replace emergency fresh air system gas bottle (3) subject to separate repair order.
5	Read off reservoir pressure on emergency fresh air system gas bottle (3)	Model 222 with code Z07 (Top protection) with code Z25 (Emergency fresh air system with equipment carrier plate) reservoir pressure If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.	*BF86.10-P-1001-01A
6	Check visible systems, components, lines, hoses of emergency fresh air system for damage, routing, leaks, correct mounting and corrosion	If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
