	Raise vehicle
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off on its own when jacked up. Risk of injury  caused by rotating parts when working on running engine or drive train.	Ensure that supports are in a safe condition. An authorized person must occupy the driver seat. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0008-01A
1	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns
2	Attach complete adapter set at lift support points	Only for removal of underfloor paneling

3	Align all vehicle lift supports under lift support points	Only lift the vehicle at lift support points. Otherwise damage occurs to the vehicle longitudinal members. Position vehicle lift supports (vertically adjustable) at lift support points of body.
4	Secure vehicle on lifting platform against falling over	Only when removing major assemblies (e.g. engine, front axle carriers, axles).	AR00.60-P-0100GZ
5	Lift vehicle on vehicle lift.
	Jack up vehicle
6	Raise vehicle so that wheels are clear of the ground	If using pit lifts or floor jacks: Only position posts at front axle lift support point and rear axle lift support point. Otherwise damage occurs to the body and components.
7	Secure the vehicle against tilting and toppling.	Position jack stand under the body lift support points.
