Move vehicle with front axle onto roller brake test stand.   WS42.00-P-0006B
7 Move automatic transmission to selector lever position "N" or shift manual transmission to neutral.
8 Determine and document the braking characteristics and brake values of the front axle. NOTES
On all-wheel drive vehicles, the speed of the roller brake test stand rollers may be max. 5 km/h and may not last for longer than 15 s per test of one axle.
Between the tests, a waiting period of at least 15 s must be observed, during which the axle may not be driven by the roller brake test stand rollers.
The drive train and brake system can otherwise be damaged.
IMPORTANT Press brake pedal uniformly. Document maximum values before wheels lock.

12.2 Determine and document braking characteristics and brake values for electric parking brake. Model 197, 216, 221
Vehicles with electrically-operated parking brake.
Before operating the electric parking brake, the rear-axle complete wheels must be driven by the roller brake test stand until the vehicle has detected the roller brake test stand so that application of the brake pads is then slowed down.
Otherwise damage may occur.
NOTES
Briefly press switch of electric parking brake once, do not press and hold. Otherwise damage will occur.
IMPORTANT Document maximum values before wheels lock.
