Check track rod and drag link linkage for play, check rubber boots - AP46.00-P-4653CW

INSPECT Check     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  . Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of the mechanism when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1 Turn key in ignition lock into position 0    
2 Hoist vehicle with lifting platform until wheels are free    
3 Check boots (10m) and tie rod joint (10g) IMPORTANT Check boots (10m) for condition, leaktightness and correct seat. Check play of tie rod joint (10g) by pulling and pushing firmly on the tie rod (10).
In the event of complaints:

Replace tie rod (10), subject to separate repair order.
 
4 Check boots (10f) NOTES
Do not check the boots (10f) by pressing in or around the raised beads.
This can damage the material, resulting in leaks with consequential damage.
IMPORTANT Stretch bellows (10f) by turning steering to left and right wheel lock; check for cracks, indentations and chafing.
In the case of cracks, indentations and chafe marks:

Replace boot (10f), subject to separate repair order.
