Amplifying and decoding signals
The SDAR/high definition tuner control unit decodes and amplifies the satellite signals (Time Division Multiplex (TDM)) and the terrestrial signals (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (COFDM)) in pulse code modulation pulse code modulation signals.
Transmit signals
The SDAR/high definition tuner control unit sends the following signals via MOST:
- Demodulated and decoded digital S-band satellite and S-band terrestrial signals as digital traffic data signals
- SDAR/high definition tuner control unit status, program-specific supplemental information (e.g. artist, track name and composer) as well as music categories ("ROCK", "NEWS" and similar)
- Decoded audio signals
