Location
The cradle for the navigation module is in the glove compartment.

Connection of navigation module (with code (509) Navigation box)
The navigation module can be connected via the cradle for the navigation module. The navigation module must be plugged in by the customer.
Receive signals
- Receiving the power supply, circuit 30g and circuit 31
- Receiving the control signals via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the radio (A2)
- Receiving audio signals from the radio via a direct line
- Reception of global positioning system (GPS) signals via the multifunction antenna (A28/11), with code (494) USA version, via the global positioning system antenna splitter
- Reception of FM signals via the FM/TMC antenna splitter (A2/98) from one of the following components:
- Rear window FM antenna amplifier (A2/19) (model 204.0/2 or model 204.9 except code (537) Digital radio and except code (865) TV tuner)
- FM 2 and DAB antenna amplifier (A/19) (model 204.3)
- FM 2, DAB and TV 1 antenna amplifier (A94/1) (model 204.9 with code (537) Digital radio or code (865) TV tuner)
Transmit signals
- Transmitting the signals from the navigation module to the radio
- Transmitting audio signals to the radio via direct line
- Transmitting video signals to the radio via low voltage differential signal (LVDS) line
- Transmitting control signals to the radio via telematics CAN
The navigation module can be ejected from the navigation module cradle by pressing the release pin (slide). The release pin can be removed. The release pin can be ordered as a replacement part via Mercedes-Benz Accessories.
