Location
The right front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door lining.
Task
The right front door control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Right door LIN (LIN B6) (with code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory function)
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Right front door rotary tumbler switch (A85/1s1)
- Hall sensor for right front door power window motor (M10/4)
- Passenger-side power window switch (S21/2)
- Right front door central locking inside door handle switch (S85/6) with following components:
- Open central locking switch (S85/6s1)
- Close central locking switch (S85/6s2)
- In addition with code (275) Memory function (driver seat, steering column, outside mirrors):
- Vertical inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r2)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r3)
Right door LIN (with code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory function)
The signals for the following components are read in via the right door LIN:
- Right front seat adjustment switch group (S23)
- Right front head restraint adjustment switch (S23s1)
- Right front seat inclination adjustment switch (S23s2)
- Right front seat fore/aft adjustment switch (S23s3)
- Right front seat height adjustment switch (S23s4)
- Right front backrest adjustment switch (S23s5)
- Right front memory function switch (S23s6)
- Right front memory 1 switch (S23s7)
- Right front memory 2 switch (S23s8)
- Right front memory 3 switch (S23s9)
Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the right front door control unit via the interior CAN. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

- Right front door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/1m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)

- Right front door exit and warning lamp (E17/4)
- Right front door handle illumination (E17/12)
- Right front door ambiance illumination (E17/44) (Model 204.0/2 as of 1.3.11 with code (954) Avantgarde or code (955) Elegance or model 204.3 with code (876) Interior lights package)
- Right front door power window motor
- Right outside mirror (M21/2) with following components:
- Right outside mirror ambient lamp (M21/2e1) (Model 204.0/2/3 as of 1.3.11, model 204.9 as of 1.6.12)
- Readiness/warning indicator for right Blind Spot Assist (M21/2e2) (with code (234) Blind Spot Assist or code (237) Active Blind Spot Assist)
- Vertical inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m1)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m2)
