1	Loosen rear two screws/bolts at front seats, remove front two screws/bolts at front seats	Adjust front seats accordingly to ensure accessibility.
2	Remove front door sills	The front door sills are no longer required.
3	Remove paneling at bottom of left and right A-pillar
4	Remove accelerator pedal

5	Remove cover below right dashboard
			AR68.10-P-1520CW
		Rechargeable screwdriver, rechargeable drill
6	Remove cover below left of instrument panel	Rechargeable screwdriver, rechargeable drill
7	Remove driver-side floor covering and passenger-side floor covering
8	Unclip cover (7) and remove	Mounting wedge	Figure
9	Disconnect ground line of battery

10	Detach left front SAM control unit with fuse and relay box and place to one side with lines connected

	Install
11	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) and power supply wiring harness (4) with illuminated door sill molding control unit (5) and converters (6)		AZ82.20-P-0001-04CYC
	Notes on crimping		AH00.19-P-1000-09A
		Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) between driver-side floor covering or passenger-side floor covering and longitudinal member. The illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) is connected to the illuminated door sill moldings (1) at a later point.

13	Install cover (7)
14	Install left front SAM control unit with fuse and relay box

15	Install driver-side floor covering and passenger-side floor covering
16	Install cover below dashboard on right

		Rechargeable screwdriver, rechargeable drill
17	Install cover below dashboard on left side	Rechargeable screwdriver, rechargeable drill
18	Install accelerator pedal

19	Install paneling at bottom of left and right A-pillar
20	Install illuminated door sill moldings (1)		AZ82.20-P-0001-01CY
21	Remove protective foil from panels (3) and glue down panels (3) in vicinity of illuminated door sill moldings (1) as shown	Ensure that panels (3) do not slip. Otherwise the vehicle paintwork may be damaged.
22	Connect ground cable to battery

23	Screw in screws/bolts at front seats	Adjust front seats accordingly to ensure accessibility.
		Screw/bolt, seat to vehicle floor	BA91.10-P-1002-01Q
24	Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc)	Attach "Illuminated door sill molding retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001CYB " note under field organization texts to design group 82.
25	Perform function test of illuminated door sill moldings (1)	Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings (1).
