	Check
1	Switch off engine and switch on ignition	Engine hood, trunk lid, retractable hardtop and all doors closed.
2	Operate parking brake
3	Check warning lamps (4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 13) and indicator lamps (7, 9a or 9b, 10, 12) for proper operation	In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
4	Manually switch on low beams
5	Switch on high beam	The high beams indicator lamp (3) must light up and there must not be a lamp failure message in the left and right multifunction display (14). In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
6	Engage reverse gear and press service brake	No lamp failure message in the left and right multifunction display (14).
7	Switch off ignition and exterior lights
8	Switch on hazard warning flasher	The left and right turn signal indicator lamps (1, 2) flash in unison. In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
9	Switch off hazard warning flasher
