Remove/Install Tachograph - AR54.61-P-0005GQ

	Remove
1	Slide both extraction hooks (1) into the side openings of the control unit (N154) until they make perceptible contact with the end stop	The locks on the control unit (N154) are then released.
2	Pull control unit (N154) using extraction hooks (1) out of installation opening (5)
3	Remove lead seal on rear of control unit device (N154) and detach connector plug (4)	This work may only be performed by workshop personnel who are authorized to check analog and digital tachographs and EC tachograph systems.
4	Pull both extraction hooks (1) out of the openings on the side of the control unit (N154)
	Install
5	Check DIN installation frame (6) for damage and that it is securely seated into the installation opening (5), replace if necessary	When replacing the DIN installation frame (6) unclip the electrical wiring harness (2) prepared for installation in the installation opening (5) and pull out through the DIN installation frame (6). Bend shackles (7) of DIN installation frame (6) in installation opening (5).
6	Mount rubber plugs (3) to rear of control unit (N154)	When replacing control unit (N154)
7	Connect connector plug (4) to rear of control unit device (N154) and attach tamper-proof seal to control unit (N154)	This work may only be performed by workshop personnel who are authorized to check analog and digital tachographs and EC tachograph systems.
8	Slide control unit (N154) into installation opening (5)	Control unit (N154) must latch into installation opening (5).
9	Teach in travel and speed sensor (B158) on transfer case	When installing a travel and speed sensor (B158) or a new control unit (N154)

10	Perform control unit test or tachograph inspection	When installing a travel and speed sensor (B158) or a new control unit (N154)

		This work may only be performed by workshop personnel who are authorized to check analog and digital tachographs and EC tachograph systems. Observe national legal requirements for tachograph testing. In the Federal Republic of Germany carry out tachograph testing in accordance with 57b of StVZO [German vehicle licensing regulations].
11	Remove corresponding underfloor paneling	When attaching tamper-proof seal to travel and speed sensor (B158)
			AR61.30-P-1001GQ
12	Attach tamper-proof seal to travel and speed sensor (B158)	To do so slide lead seal through bores on bolt heads (arrow).
13	Read out fault memory and erase if necessary
