DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

4 Connect pressure pump (3) at tester cap (2) SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
5 Apply compressed air to low-temperature circuit for 2 minutes at the test pressure NOTES
Do not exceed the specified test pressure. Damage can occur otherwise on the low- temperature circuit.
IMPORTANT There should be no pressure loss within a period of 2 minutes.

Engine 279 in model 463Test pressure for pressure-testing the engine cooling system In the event of pressure loss:
↓
Perform a visual inspection on the components carrying coolant
IMPORTANT Check condition and coolant loss for all coolant carrying components and connections and remove coolant loss if necessary using suitable measures.
