	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000GG
2	Unscrew cap (5) of brake fluid reservoir (6) and add new brake fluid up to MAX marking
3	Connect filling and bleeding unit on brake fluid reservoir (6) and switch on	Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
4	Remove front wheel-and-tire assemblies

		The bleeding sequence in the reference document must always be adhered to. Otherwise the brake system may fail.

6	Install in the reverse order
	Check
	Risk of accident when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
7	Press brake pedal several times and check brake system for leaktightness	Model 463 as of model year 2013 except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard)

		Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
8	Carry out brake test on the test stand
