	Remove/install
1	Activate Service mode in Tele-Aid emergency call system	Only on model 463.243/244/245/247/248/250/254/270/309/322/323/332/333 with code ET2 TeleAid car telephone emergency call system	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR
	Notes regarding the Tele-Aid emergency call system		AH82.95-P-0001-01GA
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
2	Disconnect battery ground line	Except model 463.248 With code 979 Special protection version	AR54.10-P-0003G

3	Detach cover (1) from instrument panel
4	Unclip fuse holder (4) from interior fuse box (F34)	Mark assignments of fuse holders (4). Installation:  Note marking.
5	Remove remaining fuses in interior fuse box (F34)	Installation:  Refer to fuse assignment plan in drawer slot of interior fuse box (F34).
6	Unlock female contacts (5) and pull out of interior fuse box (F34)	Unlock female contacts (5) carefully in order to prevent damage.
7	Disconnect lines from control unit and fuse and relay box.	Mark the installation position of the lines. Installation:  Observe the markings indicating the installation position of the lines and make sure that the female contacts are locked correctly.	AR54.18-P-1261-01GR
8	Remove passenger compartment fuse box (F34)	To do this, remove bolts (2).

9	Detach circuit 30 electrical line from interior fuse box (F34)	To do so, unscrew and remove the nut (6) on the back of the interior fuse box (F34). Installation:  Replace the nut (6).
10	Remove interior fuse box (F34)
11	Detach fuse box (8 fuses) (F2)	To do this, unscrew bolt (3).
12	Disconnect connectors of fuse box (8 fuses) (F2)	Mark contact assignments of connectors. Installation:  Note marking.
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Deactivate service mode in TELE AID emergency call system	Only on model 463.243/244/245/247/248/250/254/270/309/322/323/332/333 with code ET2 TeleAid car telephone emergency call system	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

15	Read out fault memory and erase	STAR DIAGNOSIS Stored faults which may be caused by removed cables or by a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
16	Perform basic programming		AR00.19-P-0200P
