| 2 | Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3) until the electrical connectors on the back of the device are accessible | AR82.60-P-7502EW | |
| 3 | Place COMAND controller unit (A40/3) to one side with electrical lines still connected | Otherwise, components in the instrument panel or center console can be damaged. |

| 4 | Disconnect connector (1) from COMAND controller unit (A40/3) | ||
| 5 | Cut through electrical line (2) of WLAN antenna (A2/83) at both ends and as near to the instrument panel wiring harness as possible | ||
| 6 | Remove cut off section of the factory installed electrical line (2) | ||
| 7 | Unclip and remove WLAN antenna (A2/83) from instrument panel crossmember (3) | ||
| Install | |||
| 8 | Clip in new WLAN antenna (A2/83) at instrument panel crossmember (3) | ||
| 9 | Route electrical line (2) of the new WLAN antenna (A2/83) along the instrument panel wiring harness to the device installation opening of the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) and fix in place with cable ties | ||
| 10 | Connect connector (1) of electrical line (2) to the jack of the same color at the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) | ||
