Remove/install radar sensors control unit - AR54.65-P-0040EL

MODEL 212 as of 1.6.10, 218 with CODE (233) Distronic Plus with CODE (237) Active Blind Spot Assist with CODE (238) Active Lane Keeping Assist

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Connect Star Diagnosis and perform commissioning of video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2) When replacing the video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Copy buffered basic data to the new video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2).

2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
3 Remove floor mat (1) in front passenger footwell    
4 Fold back floor covering (2) in passenger footwell    
5 Unscrew nuts (arrows), remove footrest (3), fold to rear and place on floor covering (2) with electrical lines NOTES Handle footrest (3) carefully to avoid damaging the electrical lines.  
6 Detach electrical connectors (4) from video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2)    
7 Unscrew bolts (5) and remove video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check video and radar sensor system control unit (N62/2) is correctly seated on the footrest (3).  
8 Install in the reverse order
