	Remove/install
1	Remove air conditioner housing (A32)		AR83.30-P-5200NKB
2	Remove screws/bolts (2) and remove expansion valve (1)	Alternately screw in screws/bolts (2). Otherwise, the expansion valve (1) can become tilted on the connection fittings. If the thread of the screws/bolts (2) does not engage, pull forward threaded plate (3) using extraction hook, hold in place and screw in screws/bolts (2). Replace sealing rings on the connection fittings.

3	Remove seal (4)
4	Seal openings of connection fittings on evaporator using suitable stop plugs	The openings of the connection fittings must be closed. Otherwise penetrating dirt and moisture will damage the components that are connected to the refrigerant circuit.
5	Remove screw/bolt (5)
6	Remove line bracket (6)
7	Disconnect electrical connector (17)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 581 (Comfort automatic air conditioning)
8	Remove screws/bolts (11) and take off left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 581 (Comfort automatic air conditioning) If the segment gear (10) is positioned above the heat exchanger (9). Pay attention to positioning of left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6) in relation to segment gear (10).
9	Turn segment gear (10) until heat exchanger (9) can be removed	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 581 (Comfort automatic air conditioning)
10	Remove screw/bolt (7)
11	Remove bracket (8)
12	Pull heat exchanger (9) out of air conditioner housing (A32)	Ensure that seal (16) is seated correctly.
13	Remove screws/bolts (12) and remove clamps (13) from coolant pipes (15)	Replace screws/bolts (12), clamps (13) and sealing rings (14). To ensure leaktightness.
		Screw clamp for heat exchanger/pipeline	*BA83.30-P-1012-01G
		Torque screwdriver	Fig 5
14	Install in the reverse order
