6	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and delete if necessary

7	Engage parking brake and start the engine	The transmission must be filled with transmission oil before starting the engine. The transmission will otherwise be damaged.
8	Perform commissioning using the diagnostic system

		Conduct "Rev up" and "purge" sub items.
9	Warm up engine at idle speed in selector lever position "P"	The transmission oil level can be checked at a transmission oil temperature of 40°C/104°F  or 70°C/158°F.  A temperature tolerance of ±2°C or  ±3.6°F  is permissible for the measurement. Throughout the entire test, the parking brake must not be released and there must be no revving-up, and no other disturbance variables may be generated, that are not required for the work procedure. All these factors would result in the diagnostic system measurement being canceled and then require a restart.
10	Call up "Check transmission oil level" function in instrument cluster using diagnostic system	Before starting the oil level check the engine must have run for at least 2_minutes at idle speed. The following steps must be executed in the diagnostic system: Check transmission oil level → Diagnosis → Routine → Start sensor/actor calibration → Check transmission oil level A11 → Start function → Run → During the oil level check an "F"  must flash on and off in the instrument cluster.
11	Release cap (93)	Break of locking pin (93a) using suitable tool and remove any residue in the cap (93) by pushing it downwards.

14	Extract or add automatic transmission fluid	If necessary. Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids. 200 ml to 250 ml of transmission oil lie between the scale values on the dipstick (interval 5 mm). To increase the oil level in the transmission by 1 mm, add approx. 50 ml of new automatic transmission fluid. To fill new automatic transmission fluid, use a funnel with filter function and always use new automatic transmission fluid. Replace the funnel filter before adding fluid.

15	Check transmission oil level at idle speed and repeat procedure 3 times	If necessary. Check transmission oil level at a transmission oil temperature of 40°C/104°F  or 70°C/158°F.  A temperature tolerance of ±2°C or  ±3.6°F  is permissible. After filling or extracting automatic transmission fluid, the oil level check must be checked again as in operation step 13.
16	Fit cap (93) onto dipstick guide tube (2) and press in new locking pin (93a) until it latches into place
17	Disconnect diagnostic system from vehicle
18	Perform engine test run and, with engine running, check transmission for leaks and that it is functioning correctly
