The holding pipe 164 589 04 63 00 can be used as an alternative to the holding pipe 170 589 00 63 01.

	Removing
1	Align the vehicle	Align the vehicle horizontally in the longitudinal direction by loading with weights as appropriate. Measure vehicle inclination across the door sills, e.g. using a spirit level
2	Detach lower engine compartment paneling	Model 216, model 221 except code Z07 top protection	AR61.20-P-1105SX
		Model 221.1 with code Z07 Top protection	AR61.20-P-1105SXS
3	Remove the two bolts in the rearmost threaded holes in the rear engine crossmember (63).
4	Turn in threaded bolts (07n) of suspension (07) with shims (1)	Use washers (1), to ensure that the threaded stud (07n) fits correctly into the rear engine crossmember (63).

6	Insert telescopic measuring rod (06) with connecting parts onto retaining bolt using bubble level (024b)	Use relevant measuring bolt and measuring tip (024) for the corresponding distance or comparison measurement.
