The driver-side wiper arm and the passenger side wiper arm, in the lower section of the wipe pattern, has to be checked at a distance of approx. 100 mm (driver-side wiper arm) or approx. 70 mm (passenger side wiper arm) to the water collector.

Insert adapter (B) into the guide (arrow) of the angle gauge (A) and fasten with knurled bolt to angle gauge (A). Use adapter (B) and angle gauge (A) from the adjustment tool set.

Slide adapter (B) with the angle gauge (A) onto the wiper blade mount of the driver-side wiper arm (1).
Lower driver-side wiper arm (1) until all three contact points of the base of the angle gauge (A) touch the windshield.
Read off angle of incidence for driver-side wiper arm (1) on dial of angle gauge (A), write it down, and compare it to the corresponding test and adjustment value.
Lift driver-side wiper arm (1) and remove angle gauge (A).
Perform testing procedure for passenger side wiper arm.
Lift driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger side wiper arm, manually move it in the direction of the park position and put it down in the lower section of the wipe pattern with a distance of approx. 100 mm (driver-side wiper arm (1)) or approx. 70 mm (passenger side wiper arm) to the water collector.
Check angle of incidence of driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger side wiper arm in lower section of wipe pattern.
Do not move driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger side wiper arm too far in the direction of the park position with the angle gauge (A), otherwise the paintwork of the engine hood can be damaged.
