Location
The multifunction control unit is located in the trunk in front of the spare tire well.
Task
The following basic functions can be switched active in the multifunction control unit:
- Rental vehicle
- Emergency alarm
Each of these base functions controls the inputs and outputs assigned to it. Inputs and outputs can be direct connections on the multifunction control unit or also signals received or transmitted on the interior CAN.

- Electrical connector for two-way radio (A49x2)
- Electrical connector 1 keyboard, radio data transmission (A49/5x1)
- Electrical connector 2 keyboard, radio data transmission (A49/5x3)
- Electrical connector, taximeter (A50x1)
- "Erase" button for taxi emergency alarm system (S62/5)
- "Trigger" button for taxi emergency alarm system (S62/6)
- Electrical connector for Taxi peripheral devices (X1/44)
- Electrical connector for roof sign lamp (X40)
- Electrical connector for international roof sign (X40/2)
Controller Area Network (data bus/CAN bus) (CAN) signals
The multifunction control unit is a subscriber on the interior CAN (CAN B).
