Location

The tire pressure monitor control unit is located at the left in the trunk.

Task

The following functions are realized by the tire pressure monitor control unit:

The tire pressure monitor control unit receives data packages by radio from the following sensors:

The data packages contain the pressure, tire temperature, individual serial number and status information (manufacturer, direction of rotation, operating mode etc.).

If a pressure loss is detected based on this data, an appropriate warning message is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).

In addition to the warning messages the tire pressure monitor warning lamp (A1e66) is also actuated.

The tire pressure monitor control unit continuously monitors all the inputs and outputs for faults. Detected faults that are relevant to function are entered into the fault memory.

Where applicable, status messages are shown in the multifunction display.

Discrete inputs

CAN signals

The tire pressure monitor control unit is connected for exchanging data with the interior CAN.
