Remove/install trim strip on instrument panel - AR68.10-P-1180SX

MODIFICATION NOTES

13.12.05 Modified mount for trim strip Steps 3, 4  
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Move steering column back and down    
2 Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
3 Unclip covers (8) from instrument panel SPECIAL TOOL Figure
4 Remove bolts (9)    
5 Unclip air nozzle (2) and unscrew bolt (3).    
6 Unclip trim strip (1) from outsides toward center from instrument panel INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Correctly position cover (7) on left and right.

7 Remove trim strip (1), tilt upward and expose electric wiring harness (4).    
8 Separate electrical connectors (5)    
9 Remove trim strip (1) from vehicle and lay down. NOTES Lay trim strip (1) down on suitable subsurface to prevent scratching the surface of the trim strip (1).  
10.1 Remove upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and then remove center air nozzle (6) from trim strip (1). When replacing trim strip (1).
IMPORTANT See: ↓
 
Remove and install center air nozzle AR83.10-P-4503SX
11 Install in the reverse order
