Cover window frame on rear door with leather - AR72.12-P-0500SXS

MODEL 221.1 with CODE (Z07) Top protection

REMOVING Removing     
NOTES Notes on avoiding damage to windows installed in special high-security vehicles   AH67.00-P-0003-01FB
1 Remove paneling (2) from window frame on left or right rear door SPECIAL TOOL Fig 3
2 Remove door frame seal from rear door   AR72.12-P-1015SXS 
3 Pull leather (1) off window frame    
4 Clean adhesive areas (A, B, C) on window frame Pure benzine/benzine *BR00.45-Z-1048-04A 
  Cover window frame     
5 Coat rear of leather (1) and adhesive area (A) on window frame over entire surface with MB special adhesive MB special adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1002-02A 
6 Position bottom edge of leather (1) on inner butt edge (arrow) on window frame and smooth along adhesive area (A) with suitable tool IMPORTANT Start at upper corner of window frame. Ensure that bonding is wrinkle-free.  
7 Coat adhesive area (B) on window frame over full surface with MB special adhesive MB special adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1002-02A 
8 Smooth leather (1) in upper corner of window frame starting in the corner and working in both directions toward the outside IMPORTANT Ensure that bonding is wrinkle-free.  
9 Glue on leather (1) in adhesive area (B) starting at top toward rear and then at top toward front and smooth with suitable tool IMPORTANT Ensure that bonding is wrinkle-free.  
10 Coat adhesive area (C) on window frame over full surface with MB special adhesive MB special adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1002-02A 
11 Glue on leather (1) in adhesive area (C) starting in middle toward rear and smooth with suitable tool IMPORTANT Ensure that bonding is wrinkle-free.  
12 Notch leather (1) not in contact in rear area IMPORTANT This relieves the tension in the leather (1), and ensures that it can glued wrinkle-free.  
13 Glue on leather (1) in adhesive area (C) starting in middle toward front and smooth with suitable tool IMPORTANT Ensure that bonding is wrinkle-free.  
14 Notch leather (1) not in contact in front area IMPORTANT This relieves the tension in the leather (1), and ensures that it can glued wrinkle-free.  
15 Draw marking (3) with a distance of approx. 14 mm from upper inner edge of window frame    
16 Cut off leather (1) along marking (3) with suitable blade IMPORTANT Repair damage to paint with suitable touch-up paint pen.  
17 Adapt leather (1) to contour of window frame in front area and cut (picture E)    
18 Adapt leather (1) to contour of window frame in rear area and cut (picture D)    
INSTALLING Install     
19 Completely remove adhesive residues from adhesive area for door frame seal Pure benzine/benzine *BR00.45-Z-1048-04A 
20 Install door frame seal   AR72.12-P-1015SXS 
21 Install paneling (2) on window frame
