| 2 | Detach air conditioner housing | AR83.30-P-5200-02SX | |
| 3 | Remove instrument cluster/COMAND display additional fan (M4/13) | ||
| 4 | Detach coolant pipes (6) | ||
| 5 | Unclip retaining clamps (7, 8, 9, 10) and remove upper section of housing (11) | ||
| 6 | Remove the evaporator (12). | ||
| 7.1 | Remove expansion valve (13) from evaporator (12) | When replacing the evaporator (12). | AR83.30-P-5520SX |
| 8 | Install in the reverse order |
