	Removing
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery		AR54.10-P-0003SX
2	Remove cockpit switch group (S6/2)	Install the cockpit switch group (S6/2) included in the delivery contents.	AR54.25-P-1000SX
3	Remove COMAND display (A40/8)	Install the SPLITVIEW display (A40/10) included in the delivery contents.	AR82.85-P-7429SX
4	Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3)		AR82.85-P-1100SX
5	Remove glove compartment (1)		AR68.10-P-1400SX
6	Fold the floor covering (2) in the front passenger footwell to the rear
7	Unscrew nuts (3) and fold back footrest (4)
	Install
8	Prepare wiring harness for retrofitting to SPLITVIEW display (A40/10)		AN54.30-P-1000-02SX
9	Retrofit SPLITVIEW display wiring harness (A40/10)		AN54.30-P-1000-01SX
10	Install remaining parts onto vehicle	Operation steps 7 up to 1.
11	Open glove box lid and clip holder (5) for remote control (6) into corresponding cutouts (arrows A and B) in glove box (1)	Note the installation position of the bracket (5). The rear cutout (arrow A) is T-shaped.
12	Insert remote control (6) into holder (5) and place headphones into glove box (1)
13	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS
14	Enter special equipment on the vehicle data card and the on-line vehicle data card	Code (867) Retrofit SPLITVIEW.
15	Carry out variant coding with the Diagnosis Assistance System by means of Software Calibration Number (SCN)
16	Close STAR DIAGNOSIS
